The Fallston Football Experience for Player and Parents
- Safety – The safety of our players is of the utmost importance and the program takes several steps to ensure that every player is protected Heads Up Tackling is taught program wide and is the tackling technique developed by USA Football. - Concussions – concussions sustained while playing youth football are rare. Numerous studies have demonstrated that other non-contact sports generated higher rates of concussions than Football. When taught and equipped properly, football is a safe sport.
Coaching – all coaches within our program are reviewed by the football board. Annual coaching elections are held where the prospective coaches are determined by voting members
Experience:
Most coaches have several years of experience coaching football and all are committed to teaching the fundamentals of the game while ensuring a positive experience

averages 1 coach for every 4 players
FUN:
The goal of the program is for every player to learn the game of football and to enjoy doing it! Whether it’s the NFL, College, or high school, every kid has a favorite football team. While very few players will go on to play at the highest levels, all will have the opportunity to play what we consider the ultimate team sport
The Commitment
- Typically, teams have 2 full practices per week with 1 additional pre-game practice or walk through. Practices run for a maximum of 2 hours.
- Players are required to attend practices to be eligible for games
- The season begins on August 1st with player evaluations.
- Once evaluated, players are separated into 2 levels of teams when available
- The Blue Teams are for more experience and advanced players
- The Orange Teams are for less experienced and developing players
- There is a team for everyone regardless of skill level or experience
- The regular season lasts for 9 weeks with games beginning the last weekend of August
- Games are played on Saturdays and some Friday nights
- Teams that qualify for the playoffs may have an additional 2-3 weeks
- League play ends prior to Thanksgiving
- NEW Ages 4 – 6 Flag Football Clinic – the clinic program is designed to introduce players to football
- Play begins on or around August 15th
- All practices and games will be held in Fallston
- Practices are limited to 2 per week
- All players will be provided a reversible pinnie
- Fundraising – equipping a top tier football program requires a high level of funding
- All families are required to participate in program fundraising activities in order to keep registration costs down
- Raffle Tickets are paid for up front by our families and are encourage to be sold in the community to recoup the cost.
